Bed & Breakfast
Once the original main house at Ca’ Valenzano, this then became the room where the salamis and prosciuttos were prepared.
This is now the middle sized of our three apartments, comprising huge double bedroom upstairs in the roof space (with extra double sofa bed), spacious modern bathroom and sitting room area (with double sofa bed for extra guests) by the wood-burning stove. There is also a fully fitted kitchen which makes this ideal for longer, self-catering stays.
The room also features exposed beams, original brick flooring and views of the garden and surrounding countryside.
This apartment has a lovely terrace which is for your use only overlooking the valley views, leading in to a sitting and kitchen area (double sofa bed for extra guests), modern bathroom and separate (but open plan) spacious double bedroom.
As with La Piccionaia the beams are exposed, there is a cool tiled floor beneath your feet and there is ample space both inside and out to relax.
Share our small pool to cool off or visit some wild swimming pools nearby.
Our newest apartment is just 50m up the track from our house and the other two apartments. Occupying the ground floor of the newly restored house of my cousin, Il Piccolo Sogno has a large living/dining room with adjoining kitchen (each with access to the terrace at the front). From this is a large double bedroom with views over the valley to Sestino, and at the other side 3 steps up lead the the bathroom and a smaller room ideal for kids - a sofabed that separated out or used as a double. There's also a small desk which makes this ideal to use as a work-cation office.
There is underfloor heating throughout - though the tiles are cool in summer - and there is a woodburning stove too.
Guests have their own large terrace and are welcome to use the small shared pool near the other apartments and the big pool just up the road (coming soon)
