There is much to do in the local area. Whether you prefer sitting and relaxing with a book, walking in the local hills, horse riding or mountain biking, enjoying local festas or taking in the Renaissance art in the nearby towns of Urbino, Sansepolcro and Arezzo, there’s something for everyone.
At Ca’ Valenzano itself you are more than welcome to relax on the terrace or hammock with a drink, some food and a book, or else explore the garden – you can even help if you like!
We are located between two valleys – the Foglia and the Metauro, each boasting lovely little old towns, good local restaurants and stunning scenery and we can suggest day trips for you.
Sestino is just a short 3km walk away, a pretty, ancient town which used to be a Roman municipality. It has local shops and cafes and is a delightful place to take a stroll around. There are also many lovely walks to be had from the house to suit all levels of fitness and we can give you maps and directions.
Slightly further afield is the hilltop town of Urbino (40 min drive) which was the birthplace of Raffael and the Palazzo Ducale features much of his work. Sansepolcro (1 hr drive) is an ancient fortress town with windy streets and a museum which boasts some of Piero della Francesco’s finest works.
